Calling all connoisseurs

This FUNdraiser is perfect for connoisseurs, wine enthusiasts, and savvy donors.

The wine pull is a popular game at many charity events.

* Each bottle is numbered and a corresponding numbered cork is entered;
* At the auction you pay $30 and select a numbered cork which corresponds to one of the tagged bottles.

Donations of wine may be dropped off prior to November 20th at the LCBA Office.

Great Lake Adaptive Sports:  Veterans Project
The Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association believes that the quality of life should never be limited by a physical or visual impairment.  They believe that it is possible to remove boundaries, elevate expectations, fulfill dreams, enhance self-worth and empower individuals with disabilities in competitive and recreational sports. Backed by the motto to "Let No One Sit on the Sidelines", GLASA uses adaptive equipment and specialized coaching to improve the health outcomes of injured veterans in Lake County.

Prairie State Legal Services:  Fellowship Program

Providing hands-on legal experience to a talented, underserved law student who would otherwise not be able to obtain the broad range of experience Prairie State Legal Services provides. A few of the priorities of PSLS are orders of protection for victims of elder abuse, helping low income elderly and disabled people access or preserve public benefits.

A Safe Place:  Courtroom Legal Advocacy Program
Provides a safe room (D100) within the court system for victims to receive assistance in filing Orders of Protection correctly and effectively, to receive referrals to other resources, and information on legal issues around domestic violence. In addition to providing support with paperwork, processes and referrals, the staff and volunteers also provide support, understanding and encouragement to those who choose to stand before the judge and testify against their abuser.

Donations must be delivered by November 14, 2014. For pick-up please call (847) 244-3143.
