We are pleased to welcome Colonel Joe Buche, son of LCBA member
Ann Buche Conroy, for “Coffee before Court”. Colonel Buche is a career
infantry officer who was commissioned in the Regular Army from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison ROTC Program in 1984. He is currently
assigned as the chief of staff for NATO Training Mission – Afghanistan /
Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan, the organization
responsible for the growth and development of the Afghan National
Security Forces. In this capacity, he supervises a staff of several hundred
officers, noncommissioned and petty officers, and troopers from the five
US military services and several coalition nations.
Following a casual gathering of networking and camaraderie at the
headquarters of the Lake County Bar Association, Colonel Buche will provide
an insider’s perspective and respond to questions about US military activities
in Afghanistan.
