Lake County Illinois has been impacted by the nearly 5,600 homes in foreclosure in 2009, compared to 4,124 in 2008 – a 36 percent increase, according to data released by The Woodstock Institute.

HELPDESK

The Lake County Bar Association offers a free Foreclosure Helpdesk at the Park City Courthouse (301 S Greenleaf Avenue Park City, IL 60085) every 2nd and 4th Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and every Friday morning at 9:00 a.m.  The helpdesk is designed to provide general information about the foreclosure process and does not provide legal representation.
